Italian Interiors — Where the Whole Home Speaks One Language

What we do

Italian Interiors, our Vision.

There is a moment, walking into a home shaped by true Italian interiors, when you sense the rooms were drawn by a single hand. The kitchen, the bath, the wardrobe, the living wall none of them argue with one another. That coherence is not decoration. It is the discipline at the heart of Italian interior design, and it is what Tredi Interiors brings to homes across the Coachella Valley, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and the greater Los Angeles region.
We are a design studio and a direct importer of European cabinetry and furnishings. That dual role matters: we draw the spaces and we source the pieces, working directly with the Italian factories that make them. The result is an interior conceived as architecture rather than assembled from a catalog.

What “Italian Interiors” Actually Means

Made in Italy, Designed for California Living

Italian Design for the Whole Home

Modernizing a Desert Modern Home in Palm Springs

Italian Interiors Design — A Studio Approach

Good Italian interiors design begins long before a finish is chosen. It begins with how you actually live — where light falls, how you cook, where you read, what you collect.
Our designers are fluent in both the Italian design tradition and the realities of contemporary California homes, from a desert-modern residence in Rancho Mirage to a hillside property in Atherton. We translate the architecture you already have into a plan that feels inevitable: layouts resolved to the centimeter, sightlines protected, storage that disappears until you need it.
Because we specify every room category in-house, an Italian interiors design project with Tredi is unusually seamless. One studio, one design language, one point of accountability — for the kitchen, the bathrooms, the closets, the living systems, the bedrooms, and the interior doors. Nothing is outsourced to a vendor who never saw the rest of the house.

Italian Modern design Vanities

Italian Interiors Remodeling — Renovating With Intention

Most remodeling unfolds one trade at a time. A kitchen company handles the kitchen. A closet outfit handles the closets. A door supplier handles the doors. The rooms end up technically finished and quietly disconnected.

Italian interiors remodeling reverses that logic. We start from the whole house and work inward, so that a renovation — whether it touches one room or every room — produces a home that reads as a single intention..

What “Italian Interiors” Actually Means

The phrase gets used loosely. A leather sofa and an espresso machine do not make a room Italian. Authentic Italian interiors rest on a few principles that the best Italian manufacturers — Arrital, Idea Group, San Giacomo — have refined over decades.
Restraint before ornament. Italian design earns its beauty through proportion, line, and material honesty, not applied detail. A handleless cabinet front reads as a clean plane because the engineering hides everywhere a hand would normally interrupt it.
Material truth. Genuine lacquer, book-matched veneer, honed stone, porcelain, glass, brushed metal — used for what they are, finished to a standard a job-site shop cannot match.
Systems, not single rooms. This is the principle most American projects miss. Italian interiors are conceived as a continuous design vocabulary that can travel from the kitchen island to the bedroom wardrobe in the same finish family, the same hardware, the same reveals.
Engineering you feel daily. Drawers that close on a cushion of air, doors that align to the millimeter, hinges rated for hundreds of thousands of cycles. Italian interiors are designed to look and operate the same in year twenty as on day one.

What we design

  • Kitchens drawn from Arrital and other leading Italian houses — handleless fronts, integrated appliances, monolithic islands in porcelain or natural stone.
  • Bathrooms with Idea Group and Arrital — wall-hung vanities, integrated basins, frameless mirrors, serene material palettes.
  • Closets and wardrobes treated as small rooms: lit hanging rods, island drawer units, aluminum-and-glass fronts, dedicated storage for shoes and accessories.
  • Living systems from the Feeling Home collection and San Giacomo — wall units, media walls, bookcases, room dividers, sideboards.
  • Bedrooms with floating beds, nightstands, and dressers drawn in the same vocabulary as the wardrobes, so the room reads as composed rather than collected.
  • Interior doors through our TrediPorte program — flush-to-wall, coplanar, pivot, and floor-to-ceiling systems specified as architecture.

Renderings are persuasive. They are not the same as standing inside a fully configured Italian interior, opening a real drawer, and feeling a lacquered door swing closed on its damper. Some decisions can only be made with your hands.
Tredi operates two California showrooms — both working design studios rather than retail floors — where complete Italian kitchen, bathroom, closet, and living environments are installed for you to experience before a single decision is finalized.

the Process

How a remodeling project works with us

1. Discovery and measurement. We learn how you live and capture the existing conditions precisely. Accurate field dimensions are the difference between cabinetry that fits like architecture and cabinetry that needs filler strips.
2. Design and specification. You receive layouts, 3D renderings, material samples, and a complete specification. You see the rooms before anything is ordered.
3. Italian manufacturing. Your pieces are built to your exact dimensions at the Italian factory — not pulled from a stock box-store inventory. For a kitchen, plan roughly twelve to sixteen weeks from approved specification to California delivery, including manufacturing, quality control, shipping, and customs.
4. Coordinated installation. Whole-home remodels are phased to your contractor’s schedule, so each room’s cabinetry arrives when its installation window opens. On-site installation for a kitchen typically runs one to two weeks after delivery.
Because we coordinate directly with architects and general contractors, our documentation drops cleanly into an existing construction schedule — and one partner stands accountable for every product category, start to finish.

Why the showroom matters

Touch the craftsmanship. No screen renders the weight of a precision door or the grain of genuine European lacquer. The showroom puts that in your hands.
See rooms fully realized. Finishes and configurations are shown in complete settings that communicate scale, proportion, and atmosphere not pinned to a sample board.
Meet your designer. Our specialists guide selection and specification in person, tailored to your project and your home.
A professional resource. Architects and interior designers bring clients to our showrooms for presentations and specification support.

IF YOU STILL WONDER

Why Italian interiors? And why the whole home?

Most American homes are built one room at a time. A kitchen designer handles the kitchen; a closet company handles the closets; a door vendor handles the doors. The result is a house where nothing talks to anything else.
Italian interiors work differently, because they are conceived as a system. The same handleless profile that defines your kitchen can carry into the pantry, the laundry, the bathroom vanities, the living-room wall unit, the bedroom wardrobes, and the walk-in closet — in matching finishes, matching hardware, matching reveals. The home reads as one deliberate piece of architecture rather than a collection of unrelated purchases.
That coherence is only possible when a single studio manages the full specification. Designing complete Italian interiors — every room speaking one language is exactly what Tredi Interiors has done for our clients since we opened: whole-home interiors, made in Italy. Every category below is one we can specify, source, and install as part of a single project.

If you’d like, I can give you a second variant that works the keyword in a little harder (e.g., leading with “Italian interiors” in the opening sentence) for stronger on-page signal — just say the word.

Italian Interiors — FAQ

For a kitchen project, plan on roughly twelve to sixteen weeks from final specification approval to delivery in California, depending on the season and the complexity of the configuration. This covers custom manufacturing at the Italian factory, quality control, international shipping, and customs clearance. On-site installation typically requires one to two weeks following delivery. Whole-home projects — including closets, bathrooms, wall units, and interior doors — are phased across the construction schedule and typically align with the general contractor’s timeline so that each product category arrives when its installation phase is ready. Our guide to the complete Italian design journey explains each phase in detail.

“European interiors” is an umbrella that spans Italian, German, Austrian, and Scandinavian traditions. They share construction standards — frameless boxes, concealed hardware, engineered panels — but their design languages diverge. The Italian tradition is the most design-forward and the most widely specified for luxury residential work in California and the Coachella Valley. Italian houses such as Arrital pair decades of design culture with material innovation and engineering precision, which is why Tredi specializes specifically in Italian interiors rather than European cabinetry broadly.

Either. Many clients begin with a kitchen or a primary bath and expand later, room by room, in the same design language. Others commission a full whole-home program from the start. Because we specify every category in-house, even a single-room project is drawn so it could extend coherently to the rest of the house whenever you’re ready.

The investment reflects three measurable differences: furniture-grade casework engineered to millimetric tolerances; concealed hardware systems from suppliers like Blum, Salice, and Häfele rated for hundreds of thousands of cycles; and factory-applied lacquers, veneers, porcelain, and glass that a job-site shop cannot replicate. You’re paying for an interior that performs and looks the same two decades on. Our pricing-at-a-glance guide breaks the numbers down in detail.

Yes — consistently, and these collaborations represent a significant portion of our project volume at both showrooms. Architects, interior designers, and design-build contractors across California work with Tredi Interiors as their single cabinetry and furniture partner across every room category — kitchens, bathrooms, closets, living systems, and interior doors — because the unified factory-direct model simplifies coordination, ensures finish consistency, and delivers a single point of accountability for every product specification. We provide detailed technical documentation, 3D renderings, product specifications, and project-phase-aligned delivery coordination that integrates seamlessly into any construction or renovation schedule. Our page for architects partnering on modern Italian kitchens explains how we structure these professional collaborations.
