VARASCHIN

OUTDOOR THERAPY since 1969

Varaschin: The Italian Icon of Luxury Outdoor Living

A Weave That Became a Design Language

Some brands make outdoor furniture. A few define what outdoor living means. Varaschin belongs to the second group.

Founded in 1969 in Vittorio Veneto, among the Prosecco hills of the Veneto — one of the most concentrated furniture-making territories on earth — Varaschin began with the craft that still defines it today: the weave. First rattan and wicker, then rope, woven webbing, and advanced synthetic fibers as the company evolved, the hand-executed weave has remained the soul of every Varaschin collection for more than five decades. It is a signature you can recognize across a pool deck from thirty feet away: light, precise, unmistakably Italian.

At Tredi Interiors, Varaschin is part of our trade portfolio — a brand we offer through architects, interior designers, and landscape professionals, backed by our direct factory import model. From our showrooms in Rancho Mirage (Coachella Valley) and Santa Clara (Silicon Valley), we give trade professionals full access to the collections, factory-direct terms, and one accountable partner from specification through white-glove installation.

Planning your own home project? Ask your designer about Varaschin — or let us introduce you to one of our in-house designers, who can bring the collections into your project.

Varaschin: The Italian Icon of Luxury Outdoor Living

Why Varaschin Is an Icon of Outdoor Design

Total dedication to the outdoors. Varaschin made a decision few luxury brands have the discipline to make: it specializes exclusively in outdoor. Every hour of research, every material test, every prototype serves a single mission — furniture that lives beautifully under the sun, by the water, in the salt air. That focus produced a range of roughly thirty collections, each with a recognizable identity, unified by quality, comfort, ergonomics, and above all, hand weaving.

A roster of world-class designers. Varaschin’s collections are signed by some of the most respected names in international design: Monica Armani, Christophe Pillet, Calvi Brambilla, Giopato & Coombes, Alain Gilles, Philippe Bestenheider, Anki Gneib, PIO&TITOTOSO, Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri, and more. This is the same caliber of authorship you find in the great Italian interior brands — applied, rigorously, to the exterior.

Recognized excellence. The brand presents its new collections each year at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the world stage of design, and its work keeps collecting honors — most recently, the Allegra armchair by Monica Armani was awarded at the Archiproducts Design Awards 2025 in the Outdoor category.

Engineering behind the elegance. Marine-grade, powder-coated aluminium structures; UV-resistant hand-woven fibers suitable for coastal and humid environments; quick-draining, fast-drying Dryfeel® cushion technology; high-performance outdoor fabrics in an extensive palette; and made-to-measure protective covers for every piece. Beauty here is never fragile.

A global footprint. Today Varaschin is present in more than 70 countries, furnishing residential, contract, hospitality, wellness, and marine projects — which brings us to the references.

Varaschin: The Italian Icon of Luxury Outdoor Living

Emma — The Complete Architecture of Outdoor Living

Design: Monica Armani

If one collection embodies Varaschin, it is Emma. Its distinctive orthogonal weave extends across an extraordinary family: modular sofas, dining and lounge armchairs, extendable and reclining tables, bar stools, daybeds, dormeuses, hanging and freestanding nest seats — and the piece that made it famous, the outdoor bergère, a wingback reimagined for open air. Emma even includes its own privacy panels, sunscreens, lampshades, and planters, letting a designer compose an entire outdoor room in one coherent language. Few collections anywhere, indoor or out, offer this completeness.

Tibidabo — Woven Light

Design: Calvi Brambilla

The collection chosen for the Ritz-Carlton Abama. Tibidabo‘s leitmotiv is hand-made synthetic fiber weaving over painted aluminium, shaping essential, light forms inspired by the canopy of trees — diaphragms that filter and play with sunlight. It is among the most complete outdoor programs in the industry, and arguably the purest expression of Varaschin’s weaving heritage.

Summer Set — The Bergère Relax

Design: Christophe Pillet

Avant-garde purity built on an elaborate woven metal mesh structure in multiple colors. Its centerpiece, the “bergère relax” armchair, is a third-millennium reissue of the historic French seat — contemporary elegance meeting absolute comfort, from the designer behind Saint-Tropez’s most celebrated hotel interiors.

Gianna — Iroko and Balance

Design: Monica Armani

The newest lounge statement: armchairs, sofas, sunbeds, and coffee tables in precious, exceptionally durable iroko hardwood, whose warm tones set off a refined palette of natural fabrics. Purity of line, richness of detail, and a presence that dialogues effortlessly with stone, water, and desert light — Gianna was made for Desert Modern.

Allegra — Award-Winning Lightness

Design: Monica Armani

Winner at the Archiproducts Design Awards 2025, Allegra communicates serenity through gently curved, 100% recyclable aluminium structures and embracing padded softness dressed in nature-toned fabrics. Lightness, literal and figurative.

Cricket — Nordic Rigor, Italian Craft

Design: Anki Gneib

Defined by ritorcitura, a prized artisanal rope-twisting technique that makes its cord weaving both robust and welcoming. Scandinavian balance, Italian execution — armchairs, sofas, daybeds, chairs, stools, and tables of great solidity and extraordinary lightness.

Varaschin Around the World: References That Speak for Themselves

The truest measure of an outdoor brand is where the world’s most demanding hospitality operators choose to put it. Varaschin’s project portfolio — the company calls them “experiences” — reads like a travel itinerary of exceptional places:

The Ritz-Carlton, Abama — Tenerife, Canary Islands. At this Moorish-inspired resort with two Michelin-starred restaurants and one of Spain’s finest golf courses, the Tibidabo collection was selected as the perfect meeting of elegance and Mediterranean spirit.

Hard Rock Hotel — Ibiza, Spain. For its first hotel in Europe, the Hard Rock group confirmed Varaschin as official supplier — a design-forward property where the furniture had to hold its own against the island’s legendary energy.

Holland America Line, ms Koningsdam. Varaschin furnished the outdoor decks of this flagship cruise ship — the ultimate stress test for outdoor furniture. Every piece carries C5M certification against corrosion from salt mist and chlorine, with 100% acrylic, waterproof, UV-resistant cushioning.

Grand Hotel Mazzarò Sea Palace — Taormina, Sicily. Overlooking one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful bays, the grand terrace is furnished with Belt modular sofas and Clever armchairs — sunset seating, elevated to an art form.

Hôtel Sezz — Saint-Tropez, France. On the French Riviera, designer Christophe Pillet shaped the hotel’s language — the same designer whose Summer Set collection remains one of Varaschin’s signature programs.

Ara Maris — Sorrento, Italy. Varaschin was chosen as the sole outdoor partner for the entire property — pool area, lounge, restaurant, and rooms — with Barcode modular sofas and Belt daybeds facing the sea.

Maya Beach Club — Ibiza. The restaurant, solarium, and terraces above Cala Vadella, furnished entirely by Varaschin.

From Michelin-starred resorts to five-star relais and ocean liners, the pattern is consistent: when a project demands residential warmth with contract-grade endurance, specifiers turn to Varaschin. For your California project — a Palm Desert estate, a Los Altos garden pavilion, a boutique hotel rooftop — you are specifying the same furniture trusted at Abama and aboard the Koningsdam.

Made for California

Varaschin’s engineering brief — intense sun, salt air, humidity, heavy hospitality use — maps directly onto California’s realities. In the Coachella Valley, powder-coated aluminium, UV-stable weaves, iroko, ceramic, and fast-drying Dryfeel® cushions answer the desert’s heat and light; in the Bay Area, the same materials shrug off fog, coastal air, and year-round use. And the brand’s founding vision — furniture that expands and connects the outdoors with the indoors, in a balanced whole — matches how modern California architecture actually lives, from Palm Springs pavilions with disappearing glass walls to Atherton courtyards.

Just as importantly for our clients: Varaschin’s residential-contract crossover means a designer can furnish a private estate, a wellness area, and a rooftop amenity deck in the same language, with the same durability documentation behind every piece.

Babylon — The Weave, Reinvented

Design: Giopato & Coombes

Rope weaving executed in a distinctly original key: curvilinear shapes that cradle body and gaze alike, with large woven handles at the ends of the armrests. Contemporary inspiration and traditional heritage in a single, sculptural gesture — a statement piece for lounge areas and hospitality terraces.

Reuse — Circular by Design

Design: Calvi Brambilla

A sustainability milestone conceived entirely for circularity: fully recyclable materials, water-repellent okumè wood assembled with interlocking joints and no glue, and hemp upholstery from plants grown without fertilizers. Proof that ecological rigor and luxury are natural allies — and a ready answer for environmentally driven briefs.

VARASCHIN

Why Varaschin Works in California

Desert performance. Powder-coated aluminium, synthetic fiber weaves, iroko hardwood, ceramic surfaces, and water-repellent, quick-dry upholstery are engineered for exactly the conditions our Rancho Mirage clients face: intense UV, heat, and year-round outdoor living. Made-to-measure Cover protection extends the life of every investment.

Indoor-outdoor continuity. Varaschin’s vision of a unified space — furniture that expands and connects outdoors with indoors — matches how modern California architecture actually lives, from Palm Springs pavilions with disappearing glass walls to Atherton courtyards. Collections like Big In&Out are conceived precisely for this crossover.

Residential-contract crossover. Varaschin manufactures for both residential and contract environments, signed by prestigious international designers. For architects specifying hospitality terraces, wellness areas, rooftop lounges, or multi-family amenity decks, the same collections deliver contract reliability with residential warmth — and the “Outdoor Therapy” concept behind Landscapes 2025/26 is, in essence, a wellness brief made furniture.

Sustainability with substance. 100% recyclable aluminium structures, the glue-free, hemp-clad Reuse collection, and recycled-content fabrics give specifiers real answers for environmentally driven briefs — not greenwashing, but documented material choices.
