Getting Started

Every project begins with a complimentary discovery consultation — the first conversation that defines your vision and confirms that Tredi Interiors is the right partner for your project. You can initiate this in three ways: visit one of our California showrooms during business hours, schedule a meeting with a designer at a time that suits you, or book a free 30-minute video call with an expert designer. This first conversation has no obligation and no fee — its purpose is to give you a realistic assessment of your project scope, introduce you to Italian contemporary design possibilities, and provide practical direction on layout, materials, functionality, and style. You do not need detailed plans or a confirmed budget to begin; a general sense of what you want to achieve is enough.

Very little preparation is needed for a first conversation. If you have basic wall measurements — even a rough pencil sketch of the space — that is helpful. Photos of the room or rooms you want to remodel are also useful context. If you have saved images of kitchens, bathrooms, or closets that appeal to you, bring those too — they help our designers understand your aesthetic direction quickly. You do not need precise drawings, confirmed appliance selections, or a finalized budget before your first meeting. Our designers are skilled at beginning with very little and helping you clarify your vision as the conversation develops.

Yes — entirely. The discovery consultation, whether in person or by video call, is complimentary and carries no obligation whatsoever. It is a focused, professional conversation designed to help you understand what is possible and whether Tredi Interiors is the right partner for your project. Many clients begin with a video call and follow up with a showroom visit before deciding to move forward. There is no pressure at any stage of the early process.

The Design Process

A showroom visit is the single most valuable step you can take before committing to an Italian interior project. Our California showrooms present fully configured Italian kitchen systems, floating bathroom vanities, walk-in and built-in closets, modern interior doors, wall systems, and architectural elements — all displayed in complete, immersive compositions that you can walk through, touch, and evaluate. Photographs of Italian design can be impressive, but they cannot convey the tactile quality of a Fenix NTM® surface, the weight and silence of a soft-close mechanism, or the precision of a frameless cabinet join. During your visit, our designers will review product options, colors, materials, and technical solutions with you — and can provide a preliminary budget estimate for products and installation based on your specific project.

Once a preliminary budget is approved and you decide to proceed, the formal design phase begins. This requires a $2,000 design retainer, which is fully credited to your final order — it is not an additional cost but an advance against your project. The design phase includes unlimited showroom meetings to refine your project, photorealistic 3D renderings developed to your exact specifications, an in-home site visit to finalize measurements and assess existing conditions, and full coordination with our general contractor on technical details — electrical routing, plumbing rough-ins, drywall and framing requirements, door rough openings, and installation scheduling. Your designer works with you through as many iterations as needed until every detail is exactly right. Nothing is ordered until you are fully satisfied with the design.

The 3D rendering is the point at which your project transitions from concept to conviction. Before any order is placed with the Italian factory, you receive photorealistic visualizations of your kitchen, bathroom, closet, or living space — rendered in the exact finishes, proportions, and configurations specified. This allows you to see precisely how the result will look, evaluate material pairings, confirm spatial decisions, and make any final adjustments with full confidence. It eliminates the uncertainty that often accompanies major renovation investments and ensures that the finished installation matches what was shown. Our clients consistently identify the 3D rendering phase as the moment the project becomes real for them.

Tredi Interiors operates as a full design-build firm — which means we can provide a dedicated general contractor as part of our service. If you do not already have a contractor, you do not need to find one. Our general contractor works directly with our design team throughout the process, reviewing plans, coordinating technical details, and managing the construction timeline in alignment with the Italian manufacturing and delivery schedule. If you have an existing contractor you prefer to work with, we can coordinate with them equally well. Either way, Tredi Interiors manages the integration between design intent, construction requirements, and Italian product specifications — so nothing falls through the gaps between these disciplines.

Production, Lead Times & Delivery

Once your design is fully approved and the order is placed, Italian production begins immediately. The typical lead time from order placement to delivery in California is approximately 3.5 months, depending on season and customs processing. This covers custom manufacturing at the Italian factory, quality control, international shipping, customs clearance, and delivery to your California address. Installation then typically requires 1–2 weeks depending on project scope. Your Tredi Interiors project manager establishes the full timeline at the outset and keeps you informed at every stage — from production confirmation through shipping updates to installation scheduling.

Everything is manufactured in Italy — 100%, with no exceptions. Every kitchen, bathroom vanity, closet system, and interior door is produced to order by our Italian manufacturing partners using Italian materials, Italian engineering, and Italian industrial processes. There is no local reproduction, no component substitution, and no compromise on origin. Tredi Interiors manages the full import chain — from production scheduling at the factory to customs clearance to final-mile delivery in California. This direct import model is one of the foundations of our business and the guarantee behind every product we install.

Because Tredi Interiors manages the full logistics chain and performs the installation with our own trained teams, we maintain complete accountability for the project from factory to finished room. Unlike arrangements where a client receives products directly and signs acceptance on delivery — accepting responsibility for any issues at that point — our installation model means we handle delivery, inspection, and installation ourselves. You do not sign non-responsibility papers at delivery when Tredi Interiors is installing. Any discrepancy between what was specified and what arrives is our responsibility to resolve, not yours. This end-to-end accountability is one of the most practically significant aspects of our full-service model.

Installation & Project Management

Installation is performed by Tredi Interiors’ own professional installation teams — specialists who understand Italian cabinetry systems, their precision requirements, and the difference between an adequate fit and a perfect one. Unlike many showrooms that sell products and refer clients to independent installers, we retain direct control over installation quality. Cabinet alignment, countertop seating, hardware adjustment, appliance integration, door calibration, and lighting connection are all executed by our team with the same precision that the Italian design demands. The finished result matches the 3D rendering exactly — clean lines, perfect alignment, and seamless functionality.

It means you have a single team — and a single point of accountability — for the entire project. Tredi Interiors handles design, project management, factory ordering, import and logistics, delivery, and professional installation. You do not coordinate between a designer, a separate supplier, a logistics company, and an independent contractor. You work with one team, communicate through one channel, and hold one party accountable for the result. This integration eliminates the fragmentation that typically causes delays, miscommunication, and quality compromises in complex renovation projects. From your first meeting to the day you walk into your completed space, the same team is responsible for every step.

Both approaches are viable, and the right choice depends on your construction timeline, budget sequencing, and how disruptive you want the renovation process to be. Multi-room projects managed simultaneously benefit from unified design coordination — all finishes, materials, and hardware are specified together, ensuring a cohesive result across every room. They also allow a single import shipment to cover all products, which can simplify logistics. Phased projects allow budget and disruption to be spread over time, and Tredi Interiors documents your initial project’s specifications precisely so that subsequent rooms can be matched seamlessly when the time comes. Our project managers will help you evaluate the right approach for your specific circumstances during your design consultation.

Scope & Value

Tredi Interiors’ complete design journey covers every principal interior space in a California home. This includes Italian kitchens — indoor and outdoor — with integrated appliances, countertops, and lighting; luxury bathrooms with Italian vanities, storage systems, mirrors, and basins; walk-in closets and wardrobes with bespoke interior configurations; living room wall units and TV compositions; bedroom furniture including floating beds, nightstands, and dressers; contemporary Italian interior doors in swing, pocket, frameless, glazed, and barn door configurations; and modern wood slat panels for architectural wall treatments. A complete Italian interior — every room speaking the same design language — is the most compelling expression of what Tredi Interiors delivers.

Self-managing a high-end Italian interior project from California requires direct relationships with Italian factories, import and customs expertise, logistics management across an international supply chain, technical knowledge of how Italian cabinetry systems integrate with California construction standards, and professional installation capability. Without all of these in place simultaneously, the probability of delays, specification errors, installation compromises, and unresolved accountability issues is significant. Tredi Interiors brings all of these capabilities together in a single, experienced team that has completed over 2,500 projects across California. The value is not just in the products — it is in the certainty that the products arrive correctly and are installed to the standard they deserve. That certainty is what our full-service model delivers.
